Who Are We?

The Institute of Leadership, Energy, Environment, and Management (ILE²M) is an Africa-centric “Think Tank” enterprise that has been in operation since 2005. Established on the premise to provide technical assistance on policy, programming formulation, and capacity building through training and mentoring support services.

Registered and hosted in Sierra Leone, ILE²M draws its pool of experts from mostly within Africa to address national, sub-regional and continent-wide development challenges.

What Is Our Experience;

Over the past 15 years, ILE²M has managed the implementation of multi-stakeholder programmes working with UN Agencies (UNESCO, UNDP, UNIDO, UNFPA, UNV, UNAMA, UNEP, and FAO);
Regional Economic Cooperation (Mano River Union MRU-Secretariat, and East African Community EAC-Secretariat);

and Multilateral Development Agencies (USAID West Africa Biodiversity and Climate Change - WABiCC Programme, YALI, EU, TENN, Hivos, ENERGIA, CordAid, WFC-GRC, GIZ-EnDev, DFID/ACE-TAF, and GOAL). ILE²M has provided expert services in 35 African countries to-date, with a detail assignment in Southeast Asia.
